Judy Hill & co. “My Babe” Clip!

Exciting news- our live album will officially be a double album!! All sorts of additional music and content TBA. Hear hear!

Here–hear a sneak peek of one of my favorite tracks, Judy Hill belting out the Little Walter classic “My Babe”, backed up by Jamey St. Pierre, Ted Hefko, Bob Worth, Nervous Duane, and Rory Collins. This was a totally impromptu collaboration, which is why I love it so much… a lot of these folks had just met that night. And this clip is just a tease, so if you want to hear the rest of Ted’s “guitar” solo, you’ll have to get the album 😉

Episode #33: Poaching From The Mint

Lawd! What a crew. I harassed Jamey St Pierre and Ted Hefko to be on the show after an intimate performance with Dick Deluxe at the US Mint, and all these other great folks showed up too. Thank you so much to everyone that played, read, chatted, took pictures, refrained from barking, and lurked around in such a way as to cultivate the warm, wacky atmosphere that makes Sunday nights at 102.3 WHIV FM such a blast. Thank you Josh for these beautiful pics!

Episode #4: Create a Disturbance in Your Mind

What a fun night. Thanks so much for the stories, shenanigans, and spontaneous songwriting/performance opportunities, Judy Hill, James Andrews, Darrell, Diane, and Pizza Mike! And for making me laugh so hard I feel like I can pretend I have abs again, for a minute. The icing on the cake was when Pizza had to wash his shoes in Bayou St. John.

The ostensible theme of this week’s playlist was “local bands I love to go see live that I haven’t yet played” (sub-theme, for this week only: “what is available on Spotify?”) But if you’ve seen me stalking around your gigs and you’re not on here, it’s probably because said list is about four times as long as one show, TBC.
